Linda

Hi, my name is
Linda!

And momrecipeideas is my little corner of the internet!

I’m the voice, author, and creator behind momrecipeideas. The whole thing began in the spring of 2015 while I was still teaching third grade in a small town in Ohio. My youngest was just learning to tie his shoes, and I was constantly looking for quick, kid‑friendly meals that didn’t sacrifice flavor. One rainy afternoon I scribbled a handful of family‑favorite recipes onto a notebook and posted them on a free blog platform—nothing fancy, just a mom sharing what worked at our dinner table.

The blog officially launched as momrecipeideas in June 2016. By the end of 2017 I had published 80 recipes and started a modest email list. Fast forward to 2024, and the site now draws about 120,000 unique visitors each month, with 15,300 newsletter subscribers and a growing archive of more than 250 tested recipes. I’ve added a printable “Meal‑Plan Sheet” (downloaded over 12,000 times) and a short video series on “One‑Pan Weeknight Dinners” that has been featured on three food podcasts.

I live in Asheville, North Carolina, with my husband Mark and our three kids—Emma (9), Noah (7) and baby Lily (4). When I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll find me hiking the Blue Ridge Parkway, brewing a pot of coffee on a lazy Sunday, or curled up with a mystery novel by Agatha Christie. My favorite things are Sunday‑morning pancakes topped with fresh berries, the smell of fresh‑baked bread, and the sound of my kids laughing while we roll out pizza dough together.

A little fun fact: the first recipe I ever posted—Grandma’s cinnamon‑spiced apple crumble—still lives on a handwritten index card in my kitchen drawer. I keep it as a reminder that the best meals often start with a single, simple idea. Every Friday night I also make a big batch of homemade salsa, which has become a family ritual and a staple for our taco Tuesdays.
